Cats are mammals so have fur, whereas frogs are amphibians and have thin skin that has to be kept moist. Mammals give birth to live offspring; amphibians lay eggs. Cats look after their kittens until they are fully weaned, but frogs do not help their offspring in any way.

Frogs eat a variety of insects and bugs. Cats are strict carnivores so actively hunt and prey on small mammals and birds. For this, cats have evolved strong muscles and sharp teeth and claws made for holding down prey and tearing through flesh and bone. Frogs swallow prey whole by blinking, which forces the prey down the frog's throat.
